Some hair and makeup tips from a photographer's perspective 💄

First, trust your hair and makeup team! They are there because they are talented, incredibly experienced, and have seen it all.

Second, lips tend to fade first; sometimes they're gone before ceremony - so please be sure have a touch-up kit on standby (I'll be happy to put it in my fanny pack), OR use lip products that can last the entire day BUT won't be overly dry (prepping your skin and lips days prior will help avoid it looking dry!).

For hair, work with your artist to find something that flatters your face shape, fits the vibe of your wedding, AND, if possible, is low maintenance. If your hair requires you to always put it 'back into place', your body will tense up (without you even realizing it!), and it'll show in photos (also, it's distracting, and you won't be fully in the moment!). We'll jump in and make sure your hair looks amazing, but sometimes we have to go with the flow and let it go to get authentic and uninterrupted shots (wind-swept hair results in ultra-romantic couple portraits!).
